Robert Buchan Nisbet

Victorian Artist

Robert Buchan Nisbet (1857-1942) was a landscape painter. He studied at the Board of Manufacturers School, Edinburgh RSA, life class, 1882-85. He also studied under Bouguereau in Paris. Robert Buchan Nisbet was the brother of Pollok Sinclair Nisbet and did some training under him in Europe. He was married to Margaret Dempster who was also an artist. They lived at Dunmore, Comrie, near Crieff. Exhibited: RA 22, RBA 25, RHA 10, RI 100, RSA 214, RSW 185.
